ATR Welcomes Scott Hegle, Low Vision and Blindness Specialist

Adaptive Technology Resources, Inc. is proud to announce a new addition to our staff, Mr. Scott Hegle.

Scott is a Product Specialist for ATR. He received is Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Over the past 10 years, Scott has been providing sales management and product support in the Assistive Technology industry. He specializes in low vision and blindness products and services as well as IOS software applications.

Scott has served on the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and on the Alumni Board at the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He is a medalist in the 1980 Olympics for the Disabled held in Arnhem Holland. Scott continues active in the blind community and is a strong advocate for empowering individuals to have the best access possible to assistive technology.

As a valuable member of ATR’s team, Scott will provide the following services to clients:
• Assistive Technology (AT) product and services presentations
• AT assessments for individuals with low vision and blindness
• AT training of both individuals and groups with a focus on low vision and blindness software and hardware
• Remote training for blind clients on a variety of hardware and software solutions
• Referrals to available sources for low vision & blindness solutions

Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 5 – Web Addition Update 5.0.4

A new update for Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 5 is now available – Version 5.0.4. This is a free update for registered Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 5 customers. Click here for the update.

We recommend that all Version 5 Web License Edition customers upgrade to Version 5.0.4,which is a cumulative update with all previous updates.
Version 5.0.4 includes Cut, Copy and Paste for files in the Universal Library. For full details on changes in this update, see the Read Me file.

All product editions of the Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh product – Standalone, Network (Engine, Administrator and Client) and Web License Client – are now on a DVD instead of a CD. From the DVD window, select the product edition you want and drag and drop its icon to your Applications folder. For more details on installation, go to the Installation Notes section in this Read Me file.

Kurzweil 3000 for Windows Update 13.04 now available!

You may either download the executable file here or use Online>Update feature of the software. You will need to exit Kurzweil 3000 and have administrative privileges on the computer receiving the update. This update is cumulative; you do not need to install previous updates, but you do need Version 13.0 installed.
You will find minor changes in version 13.04. For detailed information, see the Release Notes for 13.04.
