Low Vision Event, Pewaukee, WI, May 14th

GRAFTON, WI – Dr. Christina Petrou, O.D and Mr. Bill Poetz of Optical Consultants, Inc. in Pewaukee, WI, will host an event to educate the public about low vision eye care. Adaptive Technology Resources, a company based in Grafton, WI, will be available to provide personal demonstrations on a full line of Enhanced Vision’s low vision magnification devices, ranging from small hand-held portable electronic magnifiers to larger desktop video magnifiers. Dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, Enhanced Vision has developed leading assistive technology to create a full line of superior, easy-to-use low vision tools at affordable prices.  There is no fee or obligation for the demonstration, and devices will be available for purchase at that time.  If your vision is making it difficult to do things that you used to enjoy, do not miss this opportunity to learn about the many solutions we can provide.  The event will take place on Saturday, May 14th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Optical Consultants, Inc. located at 2217 Silvernail Road, Pewaukee, WI.

Kurzweil 3000 for Windows Patch 12.02

The second patch for Kurzweil 3000 for Windows Version 12 is now available. You may either download the executable file (http://download.kurzweiledu.com/downloads/110318_k3000_patch12.02.zip), or use Online>Update feature of the software. You will need to exit Kurzweil 3000 and have administrative privileges on the computer receiving the update. This patch is cumulative; you do not need to install 12.01, but you do need Version 12.0 installed.

Major fixes included in Patch 12.02:

  • Text Notes not printing – All Editions
  • Erratic cursor behavior in Brainstorm documents – All Editions
  • Read the Web remaining active even after closing Kurzweil 3000 – All Editions
  • License time-out after 60 minutes of activity – Web License Edition
